dinner guests

We had a great time seeing Carrie, Nate, and Angie for dinner. Carrie was in town for work, and we wanted to try to sqeeze in one last dinner with the Pennocks before they have their baby!

baby bath

I have now given Chris a few real baths in the kitchen sink. It is kind of scary holding a wet and slippery newborn. I haven't quite figured out how to wash his back, because that's where my arm is, and I have not let go of his leg. I guess I will just have to let go of the leg and hold him elsewhere to wash his back and the back of his neck. Veteran moms- any tips?

2 weeks

Chris had his two week old doctor's appointment today. It was kind of fun- the family practice resident who saw him was one of my interns at Denver Health! And she got to be my baby's doctor. Chris is doing great- he's up to 7 lb 4 ounces now. He still gets a goopy right eye after sleeping, but I can stop the antibiotic eye drops. The last few days, he has been sleeping during the day and being up at night, which makes it hard for me to get sleep, since I want to do things when it's light out. But I'm going to try to nap when he does today to get some more rest. Our move to Littleton is coming up on the 18th. Doug has been packing up our apartment. I have packed two boxes, and he has packed the rest.
