Today is our last day in our apartment at the Breakers. It is kind of sad moving out- this place has become our home. We have lived here since we moved to Colorado. We lived here before and after we got married. Doug spent alot of time home alone here the first year before he found work. This is the home we took our baby home to. It has been a good place- I like the lake, and enjoyed using the pool and going to fitness classes. Our lives are different now, with Chris. I can't just go and swim or go to a class. He is my primary responsibility. We also need more room. There is not enough room for a dedicated nursery in our two bedroom apartment. The house we are moving to is a small three bedroom house, so Chris will have his room, we'll have a room, and we'll have a guest room/ computer room. I still haven't been in the house yet. Apparently the master bedroom is good sized but the other two bedrooms are pretty small. We'll see how well everything fits in the guest room. It will be nice to have a nursery to set up, decorate, and make kid safe. Moving is going to be interesting logistically. Basically, Doug, Joe, Ramin, and hopefully Nate (assuming Angie doesn't go into labor today or tomorrow) will do the entire move. I'm going to take the baby, pack n play, and baby supplies to Angie's house. We are planning on spending Saturday night at the Pennocks place. Then we'll trek down to Littleton on Sunday. Until today, I hadn't thought about the fact that I would have no place to sit and nurse the baby once all the furniture had been removed. I was planning on staying at our apartment during the day, but I realized that wouldn't work very well. I appreciate the Pennocks offering us a home base for this crazy move.
