first solid food

Chris had his first taste of rice cereal this morning. I don't think he actually swallowed any of it. We took a video but it won't upload.















He also had his six month doctor's appointment today. He is now 13 lb 11.6 oz! That's a gain of 11 oz in 14 days, which is great! He is a little behind in gross motor development but the doc isn't worried about it. He will reach his milestones on his own schedule.

the trip back

Our trip back to Denver was uneventful. Chris was a perfect little baby on the plane. He even took a nice nap in my arms!

first restaurant

This was the first time we took Chris to a real, sit-down restaurant. He was well behaved! We went to Pompeii's Grotto in downtown San Francisco and had some tasty fresh seafood. I had linguine with clams and a bowl of clam chowder. Doug had a half crabcake sandwich as well as chowder. Chris got to meet his great aunt and uncle Janice and Paul.

There were lots of presents to open! We opened presents from 9 am to 2 pm, with a break in the middle for a nap for Chris.
