baby doping

Today I did a trial run of children's Benadryl with Chris to make sure it's sedating for him and doesn't make him go bonkers. Sometimes Benadryl can do that to kids, and it can make the elderly wacky as well. So, I gave him 2 mL of liquid children's Benadryl this morning at 9:15. He had just gotten up from a nap. He started getting drowsy within fifteen minutes and he was asleep by 9:45. This is not a usual nap time for him. He slept for 45 minutes and hasn't seemed unsually tired since then. However, his nap schedule is all off now. We are good to go on baby doping for the airplane!

what was that?

old

Yesterday was my 30th birthday. I spent most of the day in Denver with Angie and Johnathan and at Chris' doctor appointment. I came home and put Chris to bed, and Doug cooked a delicious wild game dinner for us- venison wrapped in bacon. Thanks Katie for the venison! Yeah, I feel older. Goodbye 20's!

dr visit

We saw Dr. Bunik again yesterday, and Chris is now 13 lbs! All of his blood work was normal. We are just going to keep on doing what we're doing and follow his weight. Once we start solids, I'll add butter to his food to increase its caloric content.

the va called!

The VA called today and said I'm hired! I'll have to head over there sometime this week to sign some paperwork, and I will start after the new year. Back to work!
